New members are welcome to join the Silver Belles and Beaus Senior Singers! Rehearsals for the Fall Season begin on Wednesday, September 4, from 10:00 to noon. We are a group of friendly seniors who enjoy singing popular music, Broadway tunes, patriotic songs and old favorites! We'll be preparing for our Holiday Sing Along, to be presented in December. Possible locations include the Hunterdon County NC Branch Library, schools, nursing homes and senior groups. All activities are during daylight hours. Rehearsals are held weekly at the Lower Valley Presbyterian Church Parish Hall, 445 County Road 513 in Califon (across from Staiano's Furniture Store). We ask for $25 dues annually to cover the cost of music and maintenance of the church piano. There are no auditions, and you don't need to read music. If you love to sing, join us! Save the date! The "Empty Bowl", a takeout lunch from the Flemington Area Food Pantry, will return this year on Friday, October 25. As the Flemington Food Pantry's largest fundraiser, this drive-up event will be held at the Pantry and offer a lunch that features a delicious soup from local restaurants and kitchens. There is also an on-site pottery sale. Plans are underway and more information will be available later this summer at: www. FlemingtonFoodPantry.org/empty-bowl. Don't miss it!
