Mother's Day ~ To Parent: How fitting that Mother's Day falls in the soft and lovely month of May. This year as a gift to the Mothers WF offers a visual love letter in the form of a photographic odyssey set to music. Our own in-house photographer David Surks will deliver what is sure to be a magical tribute to Mothers. And that includes us all - as daughters and as mothers, Adoptive Mothers, Grandmothers, Step- Mothers, Mothers-in-law, Motherly Aunties, Sisters, Cousins, Friends and Pet Moms! Have I missed any? Our Women in the Military ~ To Protect: First brought onto the battlefields as healing angels, our heroes of the fairer sex have come over time and with ferocious training, to stand in combat with their male counterparts on the front lines. Be it on land, the sea or in the air, women today are among the mighty warriors in our Armed Forces. This May in honor of Memorial Day, WF pays homage to our Women in the Military for their noble choice with a presentation by Retired Navy Captain, Flight Officer Jean O'Brien, currently serving as a Veterans Service Officer. To her and to all our Women in the Armed Forces we say Bravas!! and Thank you!! HEROES LUNCHEON Thursday May 23rd, at noon. Dillon Library, Bedminster NJ. Admission 20. For many of these children, the gift-filled box is the first gift they've ever received. Anyone can pack a shoebox!
