Through the arts, we express
ourselves, explore ideas, and
cultivate critical thinking
and problem-solving. Art
has the power to motivate
us and turn thinking into
doing, fueling innovation
and leading to fresh ideas,
scientific breakthroughs, and
technological improvements.
Art challenges us to reflect on
ourselves and our society as a
whole, while helping us think about
new ideas, confront problems,
and consider possibilities. In
the midst of tragedy, art helps
us heal, and it can also help us
celebrate and commemorate.
Art can have a purpose in and
of itself; it can inspire, bring
joy, or give solace. Find out

Saturday, May 11, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Put on your dancing shoes for a night of family fun as the Readington Museums hosts its bi-
annual Barn Dance! The dance will be held from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on May 11 inside the 18th-
century Wade-Wyckoff Barn at the Bouman-Stickney Farmstead. This family-friendly event is
a wonderful way to have fun with the entire family! Caller, Betsy Gotta, will give easy to follow
instructions before each dance so even a beginner will be able to dance the night away. There's
a suggested donation of $5/adult and $2/child. Refreshments will also be available for an
additional $1 donation. For groups of six or more, please call for a reservation.
