Come along and listen to the lullaby of Broadway in Hunterdon County!
ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) presents "42nd Street," a tap dance
musical spectacular. This family-friendly show celebrates the magic of
showbiz. Vibrant costumes, stunning sets, and energetic choreography
together yield a captivating audience experience. Broadway blockbusters
including Forty-Second Street, Lullaby of Broadway, and We're In the Money
are brilliantly presented by SKIT's first live orchestra since COVID, under the
direction of Vince Angeline, NHHS's long-time conductor.
Following last year's Grease, nominated for Best Musical in New Jersey, is the Tony Award winning
Best Musical 42nd Street. It follows ingenue Peggy Sawyer (Emma Nasto: 2023 NJ Outstanding Female Youth Performer
nominee) as Billy Lawlor (Dakota Krouse: 2023 NJ Outstanding Male Youth Performer and NJ Papermill Rising Star Award winner) helps
her rise from the chorus to assume the starring role from injured Dorothy Brock (Alyssa Conover) in the Julian Marsh (Kaden Brightwell)
production of Pretty Lady, the show within the show. | "This show honors the ensemble members of both Broadway and Community theaters
and SKIT's cast members do just that!" says Director Carolyn Newman. Pretty Lady show writers Maggie (Julia Morrissette) and Bert (Hunter
Leeds) provide the comedy, while Pat Denning (Owen LaRue and Ian Schroeder) provide the romance to stunning choreography performed by an
outstanding cast including SKIT veterans Alex Apgar, Riley Conaty, Callista Tronoski, Lauren Stowers, Ryan Apgar, Harrison Fox, and other newly
rising stars. | See the show on the weekends of May 4-5 and May 11-12. Tickets can be purchased online at: www.ShowKids.org,
phone at: 908.638.5959, or at the door before each performance. 42nd Street is made possible by funds provided by the Hunterdon County
Cultural and Heritage Commission, a New Jersey State Council of the Arts partner.

They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful." ~ Jim Carrey
