The Tewksbury Historical Society will participate in the 9th annual Oldwick Town Sale sponsored by the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oldwick, on Saturday, April 20, 8 AM - 4 PM. THS Sales will be located at the Oldwick Carriage House, 5 James St., Oldwick, 08858. The Society will be selling quality items, which are clean and in working operation. Antiques, furniture, art works, chinaware, dishes, crystal, silver, housewares, garden items, costume jewelry, and linens will be among the available merchandise. The Town Sale will include many residents holding their own yard sales throughout the community selling various objects of interest. Additional booths will be set up at the parking lot of the church's Christian Education Building on Miller St.. The Tewksbury Historical Society is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation, organized for the purpose of furthering research into, and the preservation and dissemination of, the history of the Township of Tewksbury. The Society requests donations of documents, records and small artifacts related to Tewksbury's History for its archives. Friday, April 19, 3:00-6:00 pm and Saturday, April 20, 9:00 am-12:00 pm Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road ACCEPTED ITEMS: Clean, wearable clothing (men's, women's, and children's - any size/season), shoes, belts, handbags, hats, scarves, backpacks, household linens (curtains, bedding, towels, pillows, sleeping bags), stuffed animals, baby accessories. Small toys are accepted but they cannot exceed 24" and must be bagged. We cannot accept the following items: CDs, DVDs, VCR, books, electronics, home decor, appliances, exercise equipment, pots/ pans, baby gear, board games. Please bring all donations in well-tied plastic bags and ensure bags do not exceed 25lbs. Drive to the front entrance of the school and our volunteers will unload your donations for you – no need to even get out of your car! Tax receipts are available. The PTA earns money for each pound of donated items, and this is one of our biggest fundraisers! Proceeds from this event support educational programs, assemblies and other activities sponsored by the Clinton Township PTA. Donations are NOT shredded. Items collected go to A&E Clothing, a for- profit company that collects unwanted clothing and other items and resells them in the U.S. and other developing countries. By providing such services to non-profit organizations, they create jobs for people in the U.S. and abroad, and help local communities and economies in emerging countries while also helping our country to become greener and cleaner.
