On Saturday April 13, from 11:00 am to
4:00 pm, the Red Goes Green as we kick
off our season as The Place Where
People Gather! This celebration will
feature a wide variety of demonstra-
tions on topics including cooking
with herbs, gardening, beekeeping,
kayaking, alternative energy sources
and there'll be crafts for kids! Local
vendors will be selling potted plants,
flowers, herbs and all manner of natural
products. Learn about the non-profits who
work to protect our environment every day!
Red Goes Green is the proud host of a Munsee Lenape Spring Gathering
featuring Ramapo Tribal members: flutist Spirit Eagle and storyteller Amelia,
hosted by Oleana Whispering Dove, Keeper of Cultural Lifeways. A short film
called The Place Where the People Gather (Akuy Eenda Maawehlaang),
which weaves together an old Lenape myth with a newer story of wildlife
endangerment, will be shown.
Starting April 17, the Red Mill Museum Village will be open to
visitors Wed-Friday from 10-4 and weekends 11-5. (If you're wonder-
ing what happened to our regular season opener, don't worry! Our annual
Military Heritage Day is getting a makeover: follow Red Mill Museum Village
on Facebook to stay updated on our Salute to Service on June 22-23 and all
of our events!) Visit: www.TheRedMill.org for more information.

I just don't want to BE the joke."

Have you ever wondered what it really takes to solve a crime? Are
you intrigued as to how the tiniest bits of information can help with
an investigation? Then check out Prime Suspect's upcoming summer
camp! Prime Suspect, LLC is an education and consulting group that introduces
students to the fascinating world of CSI. We pride ourselves on being the real-deal
and are passionate about sharing our true-life experiences during our forensic science
summer camps. Spend the week with us learning to use the same professional tools
and techniques we actually use during an investigation. We'll spend our days
focusing on blood, bones and bugs (yes, bugs!), learning the importance
of clues like DNA, fingerprints and spatter patterns, and will then wrap
up the week processing crime scenes. This is guaranteed to be a uniquely excit-
ing camp like none other! Be sure to send your registration in by May 24.
Visit: www.YourPrimeSuspect.com for more information. (We also do
corporate and private events!) Questions? Contact us at: 917.282.8220
and info@yourprimesuspect.com. Hope to see you there!
