April is book sale month for the Friends of the Hunterdon County
Library (FOHCL) and we're all excited for this much anticipated
Hunterdon County event! The annual Book Sale will be on Saturday, April
20 through Monday, April 22. This is the 26th Annual Book Sale sponsored by
FOHCL volunteers who have organized this major fundraiser for the purpose
of supporting and enhancing the Hunterdon County Libraries as well as the
seven affiliate branches. Options for shopping include Saturday: kick-off full
price day at 10:00 am with an 8:00 am early-bird access free for 2024 FOHCL
members, and $20 non-member fee, Sunday: half-price, and Monday: bag
sale. Book donations are needed to supply the sale. How to donate books?
There are two convenient places for donations:
• North Branch Library in Clinton: Tuesday, April 2 and
Wednesday, April 3 until 4:30 pm and Thursday, April 4 from
10:00 am to 3:00 pm for assistance by volunteers. Donations are
limited to three bags or boxes.
• At a book drive: DROPOFFs are scheduled: Hunterdon County Fair
Grounds in Ringoes on Saturdays, April 6 and 13 from 9:00 am until
2:00 pm. Please see our website (www.hclibrary. us/friends/booksale.
htm) for items not appropriate for donations as these items add to the cost of
our disposal.
Looking for an opportunity to volunteer and meet new people?
FOHCL needs you! There are numerous volunteer opportunities. Help
is needed from Tuesday April 2nd through Tuesday, April 25th.Volunteer
opportunities are available for both sites - Ringoes at the Fair Grounds and
North Branch Library in Clinton – walk-ins are welcome! Students are
welcome to participate if 13+ years old, and service credit will
