Clinton Township 2024 Country Run 15K • 5K • April 27 #JerseyStrong. We hope you'll join us in celebrating our 20th year by participating in one of Clinton Township Country Run's two running events and choosing a day out in the Country with us at Community Day to follow! Whether you walk, jog, run or RACE, there is something for everyone. Choose the 5k or 15k through beautiful Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and let's get back to doing what we do best... putting one foot in front of the other among friends! Celebrate the arrival of spring by joining us at Bundt Park for food, games, activities and music for the entire family! Activities will start at 2:00 pm following our annual Country Run (www.CTCountryRun.com). Enjoy all the fun things we have planned, such as music and games by Dr. D Entertainment, Tethered Hot Air Balloon, Face Painting, Annandale Hose Display, Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, Inflatable Bounce Fun, Softball Games, Community Organization Information Booths, food and beverage vendors and much much more! We hope to see YOU there! Summer Recreation Camp 2024 Summer Rec is back and better than ever! Campers will be grouped according to their grade and will enjoy five weeks of organized games, sports, crafts, events, and activities! Our trained and enthusiastic staff take extreme pride in making Rec safe and lots of fun for all campers. Extended Morning Care is available for an additional cost. Camp will be outdoors at Bundt Park and within the next month we will be adding a bunch of exciting trips. Exciting Activities and Events! If you have any suggestions about something we can add, let us know! This year Summer Rec begins on Tuesday, June 25 and goes to July 26, from 9:00 am to 12 noon at Bundt Park (Weather Permitting, families will be notified by 7:00 am if camp is cancelled). Fee: $325 per child for residents (resident families with more than two children, your third child and any additional will be $150), $375 for non-residents. Extended Morning Care 8:00 am drop-off. Dear Residents: We will be offering a variety of programs and hikes this year including new Mushroom Identification and Foraging Classes. If you have any questions about our programs or would like to register, please do not hesitate to contact me at aswitlyk@clintontwpnj.org or 908.268.0051. – Best, Councilwoman Amy Switlyk Mushroom Identification and Foraging Tour Saturday, May 11, 3:00 to 5:30 at Windy Acres The class will start with an introduction by Jeff Mertz, co-founder and owner of Wildspawn Mushrooms. We'll spend time reviewing basic foraging etiquette and teach students how to use The Peterson's Field Guides to Mushrooms of North America. We'll set off on a 2-3 hour exploration of the woods where mushrooms will be identified and collected. Students will learn techniques and skills to build confidence in mushroom identification for future solo foraging adventures. This program is more technical than our other classes and isn't intended for small children.
