The Friends of Hunterdon County Library
(FOHCL) are holding their annual used
Book Sale on Saturday April 20th through
April 22nd. This year marks the 26th Annual Book
Sale sponsored by volunteers of FOHCL who have
organized this major fundraiser for the purpose of
supporting and enhancing the Hunterdon County
Library branches as well as the seven affiliate
branches.
What does FOHCL do? The book sale is an
all-volunteer effort, organized by FOCH members.
Financial support is given for programs such as
Maker's Day for youths, lecture series, concerts, book
kits for lending to community book clubs, Museum
Pass program, as well as student college scholarships
and support for the upgrade of library facilities.
Book donations are needed to supply the
2024 Book Sale. Here are options for book
donations:
• DROP OFF DRIVES at South County Park
Fairgrounds in Ringoes: Saturdays, April 6
and 13 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.
• DONATIONS at North Branch Library,
Clinton: Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday,
April 3 until 5:00 pm and Thursday, April 4
until 3:00 pm. Drop offs begin at 9:30 am and
are limited to three bags or boxes.
Want to get involved? FOHCL needs you!
There are numerous volunteer opportunities, from
set -up at South County Park Fairgrounds in Ringoes,
sorting book donations and organizing books at
the genre tables in the weeks preceding the sale.
During the sale, volunteers are needed for organizing
tables, acting as cashiers and greeters along with
directing parking during the sale. Volunteers may
select a schedule that will work best for them – sign
up for a few hours, a
few days, or every day!
