Mane Stream, situated at 83 Old Turnpike Road in Oldwick, NJ, cordially invites the community to their Open House event on Saturday, March 23rd from 12-2PM. Get an in-depth look at their therapy services, including OT, PT, SLP, and Counseling, as well as a FREE program called Horses for Healing for people living with Cancer and Parkinson's Disease. Several openings are currently available for therapy services and the upcoming Horses for Healing program which starts in April. Meet the friendly staff, take a tour of the facility, and learn about the physical and emotional advantages of interacting with horses. Every visit to the farm is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the horses, explore the grounds, and gain insights into the Mane Stream programs in which each child or adult participates. Or just swing by to pet a pony or two and put a smile on your face! BRING A PAIR OF SHOES! Help Mane Stream keep shoes out of landfills, provide affordable footwear to people in developing nations AND raise much needed funds for our farrier costs for the Mane Stream herd. If you know someone who might benefit from one of the many programs Mane Stream offers, be sure to let them know about the Open House and encourage them to come visit the farm! For more information, contact Mane Stream at: info@manestreamnj.org or: 908.439.9636. Visit us online at: www.ManeStreamNJ.org. "There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche c a S a S H a W S e e K S a d v o c a t e S Every year there are more than 100,000 reports of child abuse or neglect in NJ and more than 10,000 children are removed from their homes because the Court has found it to be too dangerous for them to remain there. Court Appointed Special Advocates of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties (CASA SHaW) recruit, screen, train and supervise community volunteers to act as advocates in court for children living in foster care. CASA volunteers are appointed by a family court judge to discover the best possible outcome for an abused or neglected child's future as well as make recommendations that support the child's current needs. Volunteers receive support and supervision from a trained social worker throughout the duration of their cases. To find out more, visit: www.CASASHaW.org, call: 908.689.5515, or email: info@casashaw.org.
