Meetings
Scouts and leaders from BSA Troop
288 were fortunate to recently spend a
weekend at the US Military Academy.
On Veterans Day, they watched West
Point cadets on parade and cheered on
the Black Knights in their victory against
Holy Cross at Michie Stadium. The Troop
also enjoyed an excellent and informative
tour of the Academy, visited the West
Point Museum, and camped at nearby
Camp Bullowa, a 300-acre BSA property
in Rockland County, New York.
In December, a group of Troop 288
Scouts, leaders and parents enjoyed a fun
and interesting day trip to Liberty Island.
Even though summer seems far away
right now, the Troop has also spent
time this winter researching a variety
of potential new locations for a week of
summer camp, as well as training for an
upcoming high adventure trek for a small
group of older Scouts!
BSA Troop 288 meets on Tuesday
evenings at 7:30pm in the Fellowship
Hall at Annandale Reformed Church,
and welcomes new members to join us.
