Public education is the foundation of a community. North and Voorhees are great schools—we should be proud of them. But they face challenges (budget, attracting and retaining top teachers) and the students face challenges (pandemic learning gap, anxiety, technology). I will continue to use evidence-based decision making to address our real challenges—and not waste resources on fabricated controversies like banning books.
