Growing Hebrew School welcomes new students for upcoming school year Entering its 21st year, The Sidney Krakauer Chabad Hebrew School of Hunterdon County is proud to announce that registration is open to new students for the upcoming school year, which is set to begin on Sunday, September 10 at the Telyas Chabad Jewish Center. Chabad Hebrew School invites potential new students and their families to visit the school, meet the staff and teachers, and enroll in a free, one-month trial. Chabad Hebrew School has grown to more than fifty children and enjoys a well-earned reputation as a trend setter in creative Jewish education for children aged 5 to 13 years; Chabad's Hebrew School features a dynamic, well trained staff and a student to teacher ratio that allow for individualized attention. Our curriculum is cutting edge and our student body from diverse backgrounds. "Our students are from various backgrounds and affiliations and we have developed a teaching model that is able to adapt and cater to different levels of Jewish knowledge and experience," says Hebrew School director Rachel Kornfeld. "Over the course of this past year, we have researched and trial tested a variety of curriculums and instructional tools. We are excited to implement new and innovative programs and teaching methods, that will engage our students and enhance their experience, in the upcoming school year." Chabad Hebrew School of Hunterdon County is open to the community and Synagogue membership is not required. Parents of Chabad Hebrew School students rave about their experience at Chabad. Stacy Pelissier, from Clinton, recently wrote, "I love Chabad Hebrew School because the teachers incorporate tons of hands-on activities that make learning about their heritage so much fun. I also feel that the teachers, Rabbis and everyone at Chabad, are such positive role models and have a positive influence on my children." Erin Brueche of Flemington, shared the sentiments, saying, "We love Chabad Hebrew School because the teachers and the environment instill a sense of Jewish pride in the students. The students learn about the Jewish religion and traditions, which they can then share with their families." "As our Hebrew school continues to expand, we are committed to maintaining the warm, welcoming and personal feel as well as our teacher-student ratio intact. Chabad will therefore continue to hire even more qualified teachers as our student body grows," said Rachel Kornfeld. "We interview all summer long. Even amongst teachers we have a reputation of excellence, warmth and professionalism. We have the opportunity to choose the most outstanding staff for our teaching opportunities." Through Hebrew reading and writing, Jewish history, holidays, and more, students gain an appreciation of the joys, values, and traditions of their Jewish heritage, as it is vividly brought to life by the dedicated and enthusiastic teachers whose imagination and vision make every lesson a unique learning experience. As Chaya Katz, third grade Hebrew School teacher said, "Each lesson is created to engage all the senses so that the student feels an excitement and connection to the material being presented." The program is thus carefully blended with games, incentives, crafts, dramatics, family celebrations, and other exciting extracurricular activities. "The goal of our school is to create a welcoming and dynamic environment where students are imbued with a warmth and curiosity for Judaism, all through our interactive, hands-on, and innovative lessons," explains Rabbi Avraham Posner, "Our motto is Learn It, Love It, Live It." Registration for Chabad Hebrew School is now open for the upcoming year of 2023-2024! Hebrew School begins Sunday, September 10. Ask about a first-month free trial and money back guarantee.
