This summer, BSA Troop 200 attended
Yawgoog Scout Reservation located in
Rockville, Rhode Island. The 'rhode' trip
north did not disappoint! Troop 200 scouts
camped, canoed and kayaked throughout the week
while earning merit badges like: swimming, fishing,
archery, rifle shooting and leatherwork. A few even
learned how to drive ATVs safely while exploring
trails around the reservation.
Did you see us 'float on by' during Lebanon
Borough's 4th of July parade? We decorated the
T200 pontoon boat in celebration of Independence
Day. Then, afterwards, a few of us volunteered at
various stations while others took part in the flag
raising ceremony accompanied by a 21 gun salute!
We just got back from a summer canoeing
trek at Northern Tier High Adventure Base,
located 22 miles northeast of Ely, Minnesota.
Nine local members of the troop participated in the
seven days of canoeing. The crew covered 84 miles
in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness!
Troop 200 is a high-adventure, boy-led
troop dating back to 1955. The scouts meet
on Monday evenings during the school year at
Lebanon Reformed Church located in Lebanon
Borough, NJ. For more information about the
troop, follow BSA Troop 200 on Facebook,
Troop 200 NJ on Instagram or reach out us
at: Troop200NJ@gmail.com. Adventure is
waiting, join us!

"I believe in the power of the imagination to remake the world, to release the truth within us,
to hold back the night, to transcend death, to charm motorways, to ingratiate ourselves with birds,
to enlist the confidences of madmen." ~J.G. Ballard
