When it comes time to move to a smaller home, the endless list of
tasks, sorting, and organizing can feel monumental and frustrating.
Many big decisions need to be made, but thankfully, by taking some
time to think and plan ahead, this process can go smoothly.

Girl Scout Service Unit 81 just celebrated our annual bridging event
this May! We are so fortunate to have older troops that not only support in
the ceremony planning, but participate in the event alongside the leaders to
assure its success.
Bridging is the term that Girl Scouts uses to identify the work
that a girl or troop does to get ready to move to the next level. This
work is not mandatory, but it is meant to give a girl an idea of what is waiting
for her at the next level of scouts. The bridging insignia is worn on the next
level uniform, not the uniform level the scout is bridging from.
Congratulations to Girl S cout S ervice Unit 81!
The requirements for earning the bridging patches have changed
in number over the years but the intent has remained the same. Girls
are to find out about the level they are going into and meet with the older girls,
then they are to share what they learned with younger girls-planning their
bridging ceremony at the end of the their work. For more information about
joining Girl Scout Service Unit 81, you can contact us by emailing:
