STAGER, CTSD SUPERINTENDENT: D e a r C l i n t o n T o w n s h i p C o m m u n i t y Members, In June, we said goodbye to our 8th grade students at CTMS. They will become the North Hunterdon Class of 2027! We also welcomed our new Kindergarten students as part of our preparation for the 2023- 2024 school year. These new Kindergarten students will graduate from high school in 2036! It is amazing to think about how much has changed already for these students and how much will change as we move forward. Clinton Township School District will have to continue to be proactive and inventive as we deal with Artificial Intelligence and an ever more global society. We will continue to make sure our students are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and citizens who contribute positively and productively in society. However, we also need to continually look at the content and experiences being provided to our children to ensure they are ready to embrace a constantly evolving societal landscape. As a public school, we need to invest in our students' futures. We need to provide top notch facilities and experiences, continue to support great teaching, and invest in a safe and supportive school environment. We can do that by partnering with the community and seeking out unique growth opportunities. Even though it is July, we are always looking ahead, and planning for the future. Next year we have added electives such as robotics and digital design in our middle school to give students more opportunities for choice. We are looking at our students' access to art, music, and technology and reflecting on how we can deepen their understanding and ability in math, science, and the humanities. Clinton Township School District is a great place to be and our current and future students will continue to benefit from a community that embraces the opportunities for growth and change. We look forward to what the future will bring. – Sincerely, Dr. Melissa Stager, Ed.D Superintendent, CTSD • Wednesday, August 30: First Day of School; Early Dismissal • Wednesday, August 31: Early Dismissal IMPORTANT DATES TO KEEP IN MIND THIS MONTH – Please see the District website (www.ctsdnj.org) for summer office hours.
