Spring has officially sprung at Next Step Advising, LLC and we have a few messages about promotions, summer boot camps for soon- to-be-seniors, the new DIGITAL SAT, and our new advisor Nick! First, if you missed our March $17 St Patrick's Day consult special, we are extending it through spring break (until April 15). Use code: lucky when booking online at: www.NextStepAdvising.com. Booking a consult in 9th grade is NOT too early if you are considering our services. The sooner you join, the easier the process (and it doesn't cost more!). Next, it is more important than ever to maintain your grades during the first semester of your senior year - the trend is increasing with colleges holding off in making their decisions until AFTER viewing mid- year senior grades. To help you focus on your studies during senior year (and INCREASE your chances of getting into your best fit school), we recommend enrolling in an application and essay summer bootcamp or our rising-senior five-session package during the summer. These sessions are unlike those offered at the high school. We will address the needs of the individual student (essay brainstorming, applications, reviewing schools, and advise on any last minute testing strategies that may have fallen through the cracks), while working in a small group setting in the town of Clinton or if you prefer via zoom. Enrollment is open to all students in Hunterdon County and surrounding areas until June 15 or until all spaces are filled. Students in the class of 2025 will be the first to submit the new Digital SAT with their college applications (that is, if you choose to take a test, AND if you prefer the SAT over the ACT). We are working with CompassPrep and offer free diagnostic testing and test plans when using our services. We have you covered! As a former College Board employee, I am really excited and optimistic that this new digital adaptive test which lasts only two hours will be a game changer in the testing world. And finally, as we mentioned in the last Newsletter, we have welcomed Nick Linfante onboard! Nick is a current elite private school college advisor with more than fifteen years of experience in education and KNOWS our high schools as a resident of Hunterdon County. He is a graduate of Voorhees High School and Boston College, and he has room to take your junior onboard now. We have no doubt once word gets out there will be a waiting list for him too! Juniors who join with Nick will receive 30% off the comprehensive package price until his caseload is full. Our goal with all of our clients is to finish as much as possible BEFORE senior year begins. We are committed to empowering and educating students on how to find their best fit school and career. Please see our website: www.NextStepAdvising.com, email: nicole@nextstepadvising.com, or call us at: 908.642.8509 if you have any questions and would like to learn more. We look forward to helping you take your next steps. "Easter is the only time when it's perfectly safe to put all of your eggs in one basket." ~ Evan Esar
