At the annual reorganization meeting of the New Jersey Association
of Counties (NJAC), held in late January, Hunterdon County Commissioner
and local resident Shaun C. Van Doren was selected to serve as First Vice
President of the organization. The New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC)
is a non-partisan organization that is committed to advocating for
legislation, regulations, and policy directives that empower county
governments to operate more effectively and efficiently. NJAC works
to advance innovative programs and initiatives that enhance the level of service
provided and save valuable taxpayer dollars by delivering services through the
county level where possible.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren, stated, "I am honored
to be selected by my peers to serve as First Vice President of NJAC and
look forward to working with my colleagues on the executive board
from across the state, to advocate for good public policy on behalf of
the residents of Hunterdon County and the State of New Jersey."
Hunterdon County Commissioner Director Zach Rich added, "Commissioner
Van Doren's selection is a testament to his wealth of knowledge in local
government and his record of bipartisanship on numerous issues of public
policy."
NJAC's annual reorganization meeting was held in the New Jersey Senate
Chamber and representatives from Hunterdon County were on hand to
extend their congratulations to Commissioner Van Doren including County
Clerk Mary Melfi, Commissioner Director Zach Rich, Commissioner John
Lanza, Commissioner Susan Soloway, and Clinton Town Councilman Kyle
Perloff.
