Soloway reported. Commissioner Soloway, the Board's Economic Development & Tourism liaison, said, "I continue to hear many compliments from residents and businesses alike that the County's efforts on tourism and branding are paying dividends." Director Saluk's presentation showed that branding and micro- targeting efforts on social media are revealing a high degree of success at reaching individuals that may be interested in visiting Hunterdon County. Initial metrics from the first month show that over 13,000 users visited the new ExploreHunterdonNJ.com website while 3.2 million people throughout the New York City and Philadelphia metros viewed online and social media ads promoting the county. This is the first phase of a comprehensive and diverse marketing outreach campaign on behalf of tourism in Hunterdon County. Saluk said, "There's a high level of engagement on our social media channels and significant return visits to the website. These and other metrics show that people are interested in what we have to offer here in Hunterdon County." Saluk also stated that media interest has been high, culminating with the initiative landing on the cover of the August 8th edition of NJ BIZ, to go along with substantial coverage from other publications across New Jersey. Commissioner Soloway added, "I have been advised that new patrons are visiting Hunterdon's downtowns, shopping at local farmers markets along the 579 Trail is increasing, and people are working at completing their beer passports along the Hunterdon Beer Trail. I appreciate all of Director Saluk's efforts and look forward to continued updates about the success of the Explore Hunterdon initiative." C h e c k o u t : w w w .
