Congratulations to the recruits of Clinton Township
Junior Police and Emergency Services Academy
Class of 2022! On July 1, 2022, they completed a
challenging week-long program, where they received a
small taste of the law enforcement and emergency medical
services professions. The week included practical exercises,
physical training, drill and ceremony and many other fun and
challenging activities.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE
THE RETURN OF OUR CITIZENS ACADEMY!
The 2022 Citizens Academy will be held on
Wednesday evenings, beginning on September
28 and running through November 9,
2022 from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. The program,
which enjoys great success across the country and
internationally, is designed to give participants an
understanding of select areas of operation of the
Clinton Township Police Department and a working
knowledge of what
these aspects of
law enforcement
e n t a i l . T h e
D e p a r t m e n t
f o l l o w s t h e
p h i l o s o p h y o f
C o m m u n i t y
P o l i c i n g a n d
i s c o m m i t t e d
t o d e v e l o p i n g
partnerships with
the public. The
C i t i z e n s P o l i c e
Academy provides
an opportunity for
the public to develop direct lines of communication with the police department.
Areas of instruction include narcotics trends, K-9 demonstrations, cyber-security
and identity theft, crime scene investigation, motor vehicle stops and other areas
of interest. Anyone over the age of 21 who is interested in participating
may download the application documents at: www.CTPD.org or stop
by police headquarters to pick up a packet.
