The United Way of Hunterdon County Board of Trustees is pleased to
announce that it has named Brenda Esler as our incoming Chief Executive
Officer, succeeding retiring CEO Bonnie Duncan, effective August 1, 2022.
After an extensive, strategic search and interview process executed by a search committee
of the Board, Brenda emerged as the ideal candidate for the position. She has served as
the Executive Director of EmPoWER Somerset for 10 years and brings with her success
in organizational growth and development, a collaborative leadership style, and an
affinity for and commitment to community building and impact. We have no doubt she
will build upon Bonnie's legacy and serve as an effective champion for ALICE, a catalyst
for growth for our local United Way, a collaborative community partner, and an asset
to the Hunterdon County community and United Way network.
The UWHC Board of Trustees salutes Bonnie Duncan for her 25 years
of distinguished service, leadership, and her countless accomplishments
as CEO. A true public servant, Bonnie will be missed by the entire UWHC
community. As we bid a sad farewell to Bonnie over the coming months, please join
