He will share examples of the preservations completed since founding the Mount Amwell Project in 2005, a Hunterdon County historical preservation charity dedicated to protecting and preserving the many at-risk cemeteries in Hunterdon County. He will illustrate his talk with examples of the preservations completed over the last fifteen years, including the Reading Burial Ground near Rosemont, the Historic Haypress Cemetery, the Woodschurch Cemetery, and many more. David R. Reading is the Chairman and Executive Director of the Mount Amwell Project, Inc., which was recently awarded the 2021 Historic Preservation award by the Readington Preservation Commission. In addition, Reading is a retired software engineering consultant and is a 9th generation Hunterdon resident as well as editor and publisher of John Reading's Diary. He is also a member of the Council of West New Jersey Proprietors. This program will be held inside the Historic Wade-Wycoff Barn at the Bouman-Stickney Farmstead, 114 Dreahook Road, in the Stanton section of Readington, or for GPS use Lebanon, NJ.
