The old equestrian estate set in Whitehouse Station will welcome Chamber members on Wednesday, May 18. The annual gathering will commence at 6:00 pm. "The Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity for the Business Community in Hunterdon County to come together and share in the accomplishments of 2021," commented Chris Phelan, President of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. "In addition, we will look at some of the Chamber's goals and priorities for 2022." Among several things on the agenda, the meeting will start with an hour of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The installation of new officers will ensue, followed by dinner and dancing. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening. Attendees will have the chance to bid on artwork, apparel, gift baskets, and more. Chamber members will receive a copy of the 2021 Annual Report. "The Annual Report is a way to share the wide array of programmatic work and initiatives the Chamber covers," Phelan said. "The Chamber is an advocate for business, works around economic development, and provides resources and professional training to its members. These are a few things highlighted in this annual publication." The Annual Meeting would not be possible without the additional support of our sponsors for this event which include Hunterdon Healthcare, Prevention Resources, RBC Cable Technologies, HealthQuest and Diamond Nation and eSOZO. In addition, Dr. D Entertainment, Dan Torrone will be on hand to make the event a truly memorable evening. Cost per ticket for the evening is $125 for Chamber Members and $175 for General Admission. Tables of eight are also available for $1000 which includes a half-page ad in the 2021 Annual Report. Pre-registration is required by registering online at: www.hunterdon-chamber.org or calling: 908.782.7115. Members wishing to donate a silent auction item and/or placing an ad in the 2021 Annual Report should contact the Chamber: cphelan@ hunterdon-chamber.org or 908-782-7115. Kearns and Victor A. Rotolo announced that retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge Robert B. Reed is now of counsel at the Firm. In this capacity, Judge Reed will serve as Mediator/Arbitrator, Special Discovery Master and consultant to the Firm's associates and clients. Judge Reed's role as mediator/arbitrator at KRL will be especially beneficial to those clients seeking to resolve their legal disputes without traditional litigation. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures are used for resolving a variety of legal issues including divorce, personal injury claims and contract disputes. The two most common forms of ADR are: Arbitration – an informal hearing before a panel of one to three arbitrators that decides the terms and conditions of a resolution; resolutions can be accepted or rejected by the parties involved, and Mediation – a process in which a neutral party (i.e., the mediator) facilitates discussion and resolution of legal disputes. While mediation discussions are confidential and non-binding, once a resolution is achieved, the parties involved sign an agreement making it a binding contract. "We are happy to welcome Judge Reed to our Firm and look forward to working with him," said Mr. Kearns. "Judge Reed's proficiency in legal matters, particularly those relating to Family and Criminal Law, is a great asset to our Firm," added Mr. Rotolo. Judge Reed served on the Superior Court of New Jersey for 14 years, rotating between the Court's Civil, Probate, Chancery, Family, and Criminal Divisions before retiring on July 30, 2018. He was subsequently recalled to judicial service by Order of the Chief Justice, serving almost exclusively in the Court's Family Division until September 2021. Prior to that, Judge Reed was a practicing attorney for 31 years trying cases before both state and federal courts. We welcome Judge Reed to our Firm! – Anthony P.
