The Round Valley United Methodist Church (30 Main St, Lebanon) is now accepting gently used furniture donations for its annual Furniture Fundraiser Sale, which will be held during the Lebanon Town-Wide Yard Sale on September 21. August 25 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Red Mill Museum Village Our biannual Quilt Show has an exciting new twist–this year's show also includes Collector's Day which allows visitors to obtain verbal appraisals from professional appraisers of varying objects (not just quilts) from their personal collections. The Quilt Show resembles past years with quilts hung indoors and outdoors throughout our beautiful 10 acre property. A people's choice vote and judging by knowledgeable area quilters takes place at 2:00 pm. Winning quilts will be announced following the judging. Children's activities and concessions also available. The Museum is currently looking for volunteers to help with set up, break down, and youth activities during the event. Quilters interested in exhibiting their finished or unfinished quilts are encouraged to register! The picnic, which starts at 12 noon, will be held on August 14 at the Clinton Elks on Sidney Road, Pittstown. Remember you must make reservations for the picnic.* Our next bus trip is September 21. We will be spending the fall day at the Tailgating Festival at Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA. Recently, Anderson House's 15th Annual Golf Outing raised over $35,000 for Anderson House, a residential program for women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. Meals on Wheels in Hunterdon, Inc. is a private non-profit agency serving approximately 225 homebound seniors every day on twenty routes throughout HC. We're one of the last meal delivery programs in the State of NJ to depend solely on volunteer drivers. Our mission is to assist the homebound elderly/disabled of HC maintain their independence by enhancing their nutritional health, thereby avoiding unwanted institutionalization.
