Girl Scouts Amelia Reitman and Emma Wuerthner from Troop 80258 have earned a Silver Award for their educational mural at Patrick McGaheran school. The pair painted the solar system and circumpolar constellations seen in the Northern Hemisphere on an outdoor wall in the recess area. The goal was to provide a tool for teaching a STEAM topic outside of the classroom. The project took ten months to complete, including all of the preparation and planning.
