Reinvention has been the name of the game navigating the food industry in current times. The Clean Plate Kitchen has decided to close after eight years of operation in the Town of Clinton. Although the riverside patio dining will be missed, Anthony and Nicole Piazza are continuing to explore alternatives in creating a new way to bring fresh, clean, healthy meals to our community. Throughout the pandemic, Anthony and Nicole have been donating meals to our local community (and continue to do so), through this mission the offering of heat & eat meals was born. Finding that prepared meals allows for creativity, changing the menu regularly, using different cooking methods, and a more predictable way of operating a business, Feel Good Food at Home was created through this adaptation and has been in operation since May of 2020. As the restaurant doors are now closed for in-person dining, they have found a new home in the Town of Clinton and are excited about this latest evolution for the Piazzas. In this transition, it seemed time for a new name, look, and branding for this next chapter. Nourish to Heal had been Nicole's nutrition practice prior to opening The Clean Plate Kitchen. Rebranding feels like a full circle and returning to the parts of the business that Anthony and Nicole love and re-emerging as something completely new. Nourish to Heal will offer prepared meals delivered to your home or available for pickup, additionally cooking classes and pop-up events will be coming soon. The new location for Nourish To Heal is at 10 Leigh Street in Clinton, and their menu and ordering can be found at: www.NourishToHeal.com. Look for more developments as this next phase continues to evolve and thank you for continuing to support this great local business! J . Richard Pierce will be the guest speaker at the Tewksbury Historical Society Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 16, at the Zion Lutheran Church Christian Education Building, 11 Miller Avenue in Oldwick, 08858 at 1:00 pm. Election of officers and the 2021 Year End Financial Report will take place. The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Pierce, a retired bank executive, will talk about the American flag, tracing its history from the beginning in 1777 to the present. For two centuries, the flag has been a lasting tribute to the founding fathers of the Republic and an enduring memorial to all who have served to preserve the American way of life. A graduate of Rutgers University, Pierce served in the US Army and Reserves. He is the author of "The Stars and Stripes: Fabric of the American Spirit", based on his flag collection. He is the recipient of the Rutgers Loyal Son Award, the Abraham Lincoln Medal from the Union League of New York and the Guardian of History Award from the Red Mill Museum Village. He is a past trustee of the Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts, a current trustee of the Morven Museum and Gardens in Princeton, the Philadelphia Flag Day Association, and is a lecturer with the Hunterdon County 300th Committee. Pierce also does projects for the Hunterdon County Historical Society. He and his wife reside in Whitehouse Station. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be cancelled.
