The Hunterdon Harmonizers' annual holiday musical performance returns to Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington on December 4 at 7:00 pm. "Holiday Reunion" is this year's theme! Audience members will enjoy highlights and memorable moments from 35 years of epic Harmonizer holiday shows of the past. Musical selections will include original arrangements of Somewhere in My Memory from "Home Alone" and the calypso carol, Mary's Boy Child, as well as traditional holiday classics such as White Christmas, Hallelujah Chorus, and Jingle Bell Rock. The Harmonizers are excited to announce that they will be joined on stage this year by their new open voice choral partner, Vocal Synergy. Vocal Synergy will make its first appearance ever on stage in "Holiday Reunion" with several jazzy vocal takes on popular winter tunes. Vocal Synergy is a new chorus developed within the Harmonizers' new organization, Hunterdon Choral Alliance. This SATB chorus is led by co-directors, Charlie Ross and Kenneth Bryson who share over 35 years of choral leadership experience. The acclaimed vocal quartet, Ovation, will also perform, sharing their unique twist on holiday standards. Deke Sharon, vocal producer of the Pitch Perfect movies commented that "Ovation is a 21st century quartet that's changing the world with their tight harmonies and big hearts!" The Red Devil Pit Orchestra of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, under the direction of Will Magalio, will also be featured. The evening will conclude with a timeless holiday musical tradition: all performers and audience members invited on stage to sing the Hallelujah Chorus. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, $10 for students ages 7-18 and free for children 6 and under! For more information or to purchase tickets in advance, visit www.NJHarmonizers.org. Theater capacity will be limited to allow for empty rows of seats between patrons. Audience members will be required to wear well-fitting masks per CDC and state recommendations, regardless of vaccination status. The Hunterdon Harmonizers are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
