Aqua fitness is a form of exercise that accommodates all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. The following are the many benefits of working out in the pool. • Less risk of impact injuries since the buoyancy of the water provides minimal stress on the joints. • Muscles are toned and strengthened from the natural resistance of the water. • Buoyance of the water helps to stretch tight muscles thus increasing flexibility. • Great abdominal workout. While moving through the water, the core musculature is constantly engaged. Core stabilizers are strengthened leading to improvement of balance and posture. • Improved cardiovascular health. • Hydrostatic pressure improves blood circulation.
