Lynn Arnold, one of the long-serving members of the Rotary Club of Clinton Sunrise, was awarded the prestigious Service Before Self Award from Rotary International. This award is only given to 150 Rotarians world-wide for demonstration of untiring devotion to helping others. Lynn's activity in Rotary is extensive. As a member since 1996, Lynn has served as President several times along with terms as Treasurer, Secretary, and Membership Director of the Clinton Rotary Club. Within the Rotary Club of Clinton Sunrise, Lynn is well- known for running the Club's biggest project, The Great Hunterdon Rubber Ducky Race that is held annually in Clinton. All proceeds from this event support cancer research, advocacy, and providing public education for cancer control. Lynn's accomplishments locally are too numerous to list; however, one of her huge accomplishments was starting the Cancer Support Center of Central New Jersey (CSCCNJ) that is now know as Crossroads4Hope. This non-profi t provides psychological support services to address the emotional and social impact of cancer. Crossroads4Hope has provided more than 102,000 hours of service to about 15,000 people who have come through their doors. The current CEO of Crossroads4Hope, Amy Sutton, says of Lynn, "When I have the privilege to talk with a person that has benefi ted from our service, I often think of Lynn, who cared enough to become a fi xture in our community for anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis." Lynn still serves on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of Crossroads4Hope. The formal award was presented to Lynn at the Rotary District Conference on May 11, 2021. Congratulations to Lynn on an well- deserved award!
