Don't miss The Cardboard Boat Race and The Great Hunterdon Rubber Ducky Race, July 10 and 11! Make Your Own Cardboard Boat Race! Clinton Sunrise Rotary will sponsor a 'Make Your Own Cardboard Boat Race' on the Raritan River in Clinton on the West side of the Halstead Street Bridge. Building your boat will begin at 11:00am and the race will start at 2:00pm from the Halstead Street site to the banks at the Red Mill. You bring your materials: Cardboard suffi cient to make your boat, duct tape, a cutting device, life jacket and paddle for each person who will race. Rules and regulations for the race and for all safety precautions will be posted on the Clinton Sunrise website in the near future. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. All proceeds go to charitable work of the Clinton Sunrise Rotary in your community! The Great Rubber Ducky Race! Who ever thought you could be a winner by coming in last! Clinton Sunrise R o t a r y w i l l s p o n s o r t h e G R E A T RUBBER DUCKIE RACE, to benefit The American Cancer Society and Crossroads4Hope (formerly the Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey). The race will be held on the South branch of the Raritan River in Clinton on Sunday, July 11 at 2:00pm. If Covid restrictions prevent the ducks from being placed in the river a drawing of the winning duck ticket will be held on the Art Museum Patio at Main and Lower Center Street at 2:00 pm. And, the last duck over the fi nish line is far from a loser!! The last duck over the fi nish line wins its sponsor a $100 gift certifi cate sponsored by The Walker Team: Douglas and Nancy Jean Walker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and the Last Ducky Trophy. The fi rst duck to cross the fi nish wins the fi rst prize $1000 travel voucher from Mary Beth Sullivan-Cruise Planners World Traveler Vacations; second prize is a $500 travel voucher from Mary Beth Sullivan-Cruise Planners World Traveler Vacations; third prize is an amazing gift basket from the Clinton Guild; 4th place is an 8"x10" print of The Old Mill from Alchemist Art & Framing; fi fth and sixth prizes are $50 gift certifi cates from Clean Plate Restaurant in Clinton; seventh prize is a $100 gift card from the Stone Bean at Riverside Coff ee & Tea.
