Due to the current and ongoing COVID 19 restrictions placed on outdoor gatherings in the State of NJ by Governor Murphy, this year's Guild of Clinton Christmas Parade will CHANGE to a DRIVE-BY FORMAT, which is very different than in years past. The 34th Annual Clinton Christmas Parade will still take place on Friday December 4 at 7:00 pm as always, with the change being in its size and route. Below are some preliminary details: • There has to be a limit to the size of the parade due to the length of the parade route and its ability to navigate smaller streets and neighborhoods. • The route will be approximately 7.5 miles in length, meandering throughout the town's limits. • This year's Parade will consist of only the Clinton Police Dept, Clinton Fire Dept, Clinton Rescue Squad, the Beloved Hooper Fire Truck and several professional floats carrying our beloved costumed characters (socially distanced-of course) and ends with the arrival of Santa himself. • Plans are being developed to better inform parade goers of exactly how to best enjoy this year's parade. We encourage all Clinton residents along the parade route to illuminate their homes and yards and enjoy viewing the parade from the comfort of their home and front porch. More specific information, including the actual route the Parade will travel, will be available on our website (www.TheClintonChristmasParade.com) and facebook page in the weeks to come or call 908.735.8010 with any questions or concerns you may have. • Candle Light Night: Thursday, December 17, dusk - 9:00 pm. Enjoy candle-lit Clinton as well as various specials in our wonderful shops in town! "Here on the pulse of this new day, You may have the grace to look up and out And into your sister's eyes, into Your brother's face, your country And say simply, Very simply, With hope, 'Good Morning'." ~ Maya Angelou
