Blanket donors will receive a coupon for $2 off any shop purchase. Located at 51 County Road 635 (Charlestown Road) in Hampton, the nonprofit shop, in partnership with Clinton United Methodist Church, is holding the blanket drive through December 23 and will deliver the blankets to the residents of the assisted living facilities on December. 24. Donors should attach a tag or post-it with the word "Hope" to each blanket and can bring them to either the thrift shop or to the Clinton United Methodist Church Office at 10 Halstead Street in Clinton. The shop is run by Clinton UMC and all proceeds support the church's missions and ministries. The Christmas Wonderland Shop, upstairs at the thrift shop, is filled with high-quality, low-cost ornaments, lights, garlands, gifts, ugly Christmas sweaters and other holiday clothing and more. Starting December 7, all Christmas items will be 50% off. The shop will hold a Little Christmas Angel Shopping Day on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Children up to age 12 can shop for gifts for their parents, siblings, teachers and others in the Christmas Wonderland Shop, which will have separate tables for gifts costing $1, $3 and $5. Youth from the church will be on hand to assist the children and provide free gift-wrapping. Also in December, the shop is holding an $8 kids' clothing bag sale. Shoppers pay $8 for all the kids' clothing they can fit into a bag. The shop's extensive fall and winter clothing collection on the first floor includes winter jackets, gloves, scarves, winter boots and shoes and much more! Shoppers must wear face masks and follow safety protocols. New volunteers are always welcome! Donations of clean, good-quality clothing and home goods are being accepted in a contact- free process and BY APPOINTMENT ONLY by calling: 908.735.0177. For details of this process, visit the shop's Facebook page or its website at: www. SentForOthers.org, or pick up a brochure at the shop. This month, the shop seeks donations of winter coats (especially children's coats), kids' snow gear, men's sweaters, men's and women's jeans, kitchenware, ugly Christmas sweaters and "anything Christmas!" For the holidays, the shop will be closed December 24 through January 10, and will re-open January 11. Shop hours are Monday, 8:30 am to noon; Wednesday, 8:30 am to noon and 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
