Public Works appreciates your cooperation and patience to ensure the program's success. From, The Clinton Township Newsletter Dear Editor: I am writing on behalf o f t h e H u n t e r d o n County Chamber of Commerce to express o u r g r a t i t u d e a n d congratulations to the Developer, the Mayor and Borough Council of Flemington and the interested citizens of our County seat who are working diligently to make the Courthouse Square project a reality. The alternative plan recently proposed by Jack Cust and his team appropriately addressed issues raised by some concerned citizens, which included reduced density, building heights and required parking. The revised plan also manages to save some buildings from being replaced. The Mayor and Borough Council actively solicited opinions and input from residents, interested businesses, and non-profit groups in order to make the project the best it can be for Flemington. We are confident that the proposed revisions will make the project come to fruition and improve the vitality, commerce, and quality of life for the Borough, its citizens and the entire County. Be confident that you can count on our ongoing support for this project from the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, interested parties and the business community sharing in this noteworthy effort. With best regards, Christopher J. Phelan President Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Greetings Julie, Just want Diane Romano and you to know that I appreciated her "Thoughts On 9/11". Her prose made me see each word that she wrote about that day and the people involved. My heart also got involved. Thank You to both of you! Dorothy Cokesbury Dear Ms. Flynn, I have been a resident of Clinton Township for over ten years. Consequently, the CTNL has been a permanent monthly fixture in my mail delivery. Some time ago I noticed a change in the format of the Newsletter – the aesthetic format. Specifically, the covers. The look of the publication went from standard, to eye- catching to beautiful. This month's cover (October 2020) is exquisite. When I saw it this morning I had to write to you. First of all, to express my gratitude and secondly to share with you what that cover inspires in me regarding our lovely town. I believe Clinton is a little haven, out of the ordinary. It is safe, it is charming, it is friendly and it is loaded with potential. It evokes the best of classic American small town beauty with an enchanting touch of the European. Spring through early Fall weekend nights with the cafes and outdoor dining, the street musicians, the children and the dogs and the occasional hot air balloon overhead are like a dreamscape for which we should all be so grateful and which we should all strive to maintain. There is only one element in our town that seems egregiously out of place. The graffiti wall on the museum patio is an eyesore. Yes, I have heard the laments "it's for the children", but honestly with all the advantages children have today would they really be deprived if that wall were to be reworked and beautified in keeping with the look of the museum? Chalking the sidewalk? By all means. It was only today, when I saw your stunning cover that I thought maybe others think likewise. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to November, Evelyn Breheney Glynn
