It's hot and none of us want to waste any water! Here are some water-conservation tips. • Check faucets and pipes for leaks. A small drip can waste twenty gallons of water per day. • Don't use the toilet as an ashtray or wastebasket. Every flush is 5-7 gallons! • Check your toilets for leaks. Use food coloring. YouTube it! • Use your water meter to check for hidden water leaks. Read the house water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter does not read exactly the same, there is a leak. • Install water-saving shower heads and low-flow faucet aerators. • Insulate your water pipes. You'll get hot water f a s t e r p l u s a v o i d w a s t i n g w a t e r w h i l e i t h e a t s u p . • Take shorter showers. A four-minute shower uses approximately 20-40 gallons of water. • Turn off the water after you wet your toothbrush. Saves a lot of water! • Rinse your razor in the sink with a few inches of warm water rather than running the faucet. • Use your dishwasher and clothes washer for only full loads. • Minimize use of kitchen sink garbage disposal units. They require a lot of water to operate properly. • When washing dishes by hand, don't leave the water running for rinsing. • Don't let the faucet run while you clean vegetables. Just rinse them in a stoppered sink or a pan of clean water. Keep a bottle of drinking water in the fridge. Conserve Water This Summer: C o n tA C t f r A n k g A l l A g H e r t o d Ay t o B u y o r r e f i As of this writing, the current mortgage and refinance rates are some of the lowest we've seen in a long time; on a 30-year fixed rate, the interest rate is now at 3.220%, and the APR is at 3.4%. On a 15-year fixed rate, it's at 2.80% (interest rate), and 3.0% (APR). Is it worth it to refinance? Many Americans are straddled with high-interest debt. If you have enough equity in your home, refinancing to consolidate that debt into one monthly payment might be a good idea. If the interest rate on a new mortgage is significantly lower than your existing debt, you could save big. My wife and I have truly enjoyed raising our children in beautiful Clinton Township for the past two decades. Currently I'm the VP of our local Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, and in the past I served as: a Red Mill Trustee, the Chairman Planning Board Town of Clinton, and also the President of Pioneer Finance and Mortgage Co., Inc. Having a home you can truly call your own is a big step toward achieving your financial goals. I have the knowledge, experience and loan options that will get you there. I'm also flexible and creative enough to make the mortgage process faster and easier for you, even if your situation is a bit complicated. Whether you're buying or refinancing, I will: • Explain every detail of your home loan • Keep things on track through every step of the process • Make sure you get to the closing table as quickly as possible I look forward to earning your continued business and referrals with a higher level of service than any other loan officer out there! Recently I was blessed to be able to help a first-responder with a loan for their first home – truly a special moment in my career. From pre-qualification to credit analysis, loan structure is most important. The company you go with is vital. I'm confident to refer my clients through this process. If you'd like to refinance or buy, and/or have the process explained, please call me, Frank Gallagher, today at: 908.500.2476, or email me at: FrancisGallagher@ myccmortgage.com.
