I was in several different places before I realized that it was gone. I most likely lost it either near the Tewksbury Inn or in or near the Open Cupboard Food Pantry where I volunteer on Tuesday evenings. I am offering a reward for the return of this ring which obviously means a great deal to me. I can be reached at: jrwwalsh@ comcast.net or leave a message for me any day at the Food Pantry, located next door to the Rite Aid/Walgreens pharmacy in Clinton. Thank you in advance. – Jacqueline Walsh P R e P a R e n o W F o R T H e C l i n T o n T o W n s H i P P Ta ' s s P R i n g C l o T H i n g d R i v e Friday, May 1, 3:00-6:00 pm | Sat., May 2, 9:00 am-12:00 pm Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road ACCEPTED ITEMS: Clean, wearable clothing (mens', womens' and childrens' - any size/season), shoes, belts, handbags, hats, scarves, backpacks, household linens (curtains, bedding, towels, pillows, sleeping bags), bikes, stuffed animals(!), baby accessories and strollers. Obituary for Ruth G. Keesing February 12, 1928 ~ February 27, 2020 (age 92) Ruth Keesing died on February 27, 2020 at age 92. Born in Westfield, New Jersey to Edna and Wesley Braunsdorf, Ruth graduated from Westfield High School in 1945 and from Emerson College in 1949. She worked as an Administrative Manager at Bell Labs and Bell Communications Research in Piscataway, New Jersey for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Ruth was a volunteer at Hunterdon Medical Center for 30 years. Early in her career she was a feature writer for The Westfield Leader, Plainfield Courier News, Scotch Plains Times, and Elizabeth Daily Journal. She and her second husband, Fred Keesing, founded and began publication of the Clinton Township Newsletter in 1982 where she wrote a monthly column until her death. She authored and self- published a booklet "What Do I Do Now?" in 2010. Ruth was married to Henry Gilbert from 1947 until his death in 1969. She married Fred Keesing in 1971. Fred passed away in 2010. Ruth leaves behind a son, Steven Gilbert (Anne Fletcher) of Mankato, Minnesota, and a daughter, Sally Deak (James), of Flanders, New Jersey. Also four grandchildren: Wesley Gilbert, Tyler Gilbert, Julia Gilbert and Gillian Deak Bijak., three step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Deak, Jennifer Keesing and Jonathan Keesing. One great-grandson, Alan Gilbert, and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Gilbert. One step- great-granddaughter, Niko Warmka. Ruth hoped to be remembered for her sense of humor. As she said, "I survived breast cancer, osteoporosis, driving on Highways 22, 31, and 78, only to be done in by lung cancer. You can't win them all!" A gathering of friends was planned to take place at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street in Lebanon on Sunday, March 22, but due to the overwhelming current health concerns, the Memorial Service for Ruth has been postponed. Service information will be announced at the Scarponi-Bright website at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation for Volunteer Programs at 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at: www.stjude.org/give.html.
