This is a popular event and is a fun-filled evening to be enjoyed by our students and their families. Please Note: NJ Gaming Commission requires an admission ticket for anyone attending. An adult must accompany all children and an adult must claim all prizes. Our meetings are open to everyone who is interested in sailing! Thank You So Much to Our Local Sponsors! Here are few trends to consider, as you plan your kitchen upgrade. Current cabinetry sports cleaner, more modern lines. Heavy decorative elements have been set aside for designs which encompass modern style, but exude traditional warmth. Custom stains and rich finishes are in demand now more than ever before. In the Hunterdon County area, the finishes we get the most requests for are: cherry cabinets in a variety of custom stains, off-white and beiges which lean towards taupe and maple wood stained in custom shades of pecan or driftwood. Today the focus is on efficiency. More homeowners are designing their kitchens for multi-generational use and universal access for seniors and the disabled. Functionally, kitchen layout and storage capabilities are more important than ever before. Mini-appliance options, such as additional dishwasher drawers or isolated beverage centers, can help manage work flow in the kitchen. Storage drawers are popular choices for easy access, as are cabinet-specific pullouts. For more information on upgrading your kitchen, please visit: www.ArtisanInteriorsNJ.com. HSC is a not-for-profit group dedicated to promoting the "It isn't that life ashore sport of sailing and is starting its is distasteful to me. 49th year of sailboat racing, training But life at sea is better." and fun sailing here on Spruce Run -Sir Francis Drake Reservoir. The meetings will begin with socializing at 12:30 pm and will be called to order at 1:30 pm. The agenda for February will include an overview of HSC fleets, activities and events at Spruce Run State Park for the 2013 season. 2013 Club events are scheduled from the first week in May through mid-October. HSC runs sailboat races for several classes of boats every Sunday afternoon and for Sunfish on Wednesday evenings. The Club also sponsors adult and youth learn-to-sail training sessions. This year the Youth Learn-To-Sail class will be offered in early July in consideration of the late school calendar. Throughout the season there are special sailing events, cook-outs, and social gatherings. The annual HSC membership fee is $95 per family and the sail training fee is $75 per person, per class. New members and learn-to-sail students will find opportunities to crew aboard the larger Flying Scot, Jet 14, and other sailboats owned by club members. For more information, please visit the club's website at www.sailhsc.org. The Garden Gourmet Big changes are happening down at The Garden Gourmet! We are breaking through the wall that separates the restaurant and coffee house to allow more space for seating. With the new opening in the wall, it will be more convenient to enjoy your pastry and coffee at the same time without having to brave the February temperatures outside! In addition we will be repainting, redecorating and switching all of our coffee to the old fashioned pour-over method of brewing. Same great coffee you love, but with a much richer and deeper flavor. If you have not ventured out to The Garden Gourmet in a while, stop by to see our fresh new look, and friendly and helpful staff. Our chefs love preparing meals that offer exquisite taste with the warmth of home. The dishes are assembled only when you order, so you can always expect the freshest ingredients and quality. Come in and taste one of our daily baked cranberry-orange scones, enjoy one of our famous juicy cookedto-perfection burgers, or try a unique seasonal dish that you've never had before from our weekly menu. The Garden Gourmet continues to grow and, with your support, we will continue to improve! Thank you for 5 excellent years. Here's to the next 5! – Chef Briellen & Staff F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 3 9
