In 2013, Troop 200 scouts will attend the West Point Invitation Camporee, National Camporee, and will travel to New Mexico for a ten day backpacking trek in the Rocky Mountains. We tirelessly work with students and their families to identify and explore school placements and colleges that will satisfy the "whole student." The maze of schools and colleges is endless and finding the appropriate options can be intimidating. Compass Educational Consultants takes the time to guide families towards the right school or college while navigating the student toward the best solution. Founder Joanna Strauch has a background in counseling and behavioral issues which, coupled with her educational experience, gives her a unique view of the student and the types of schools that would most benefit the student. The navigation process is geared toward taking the confusion out of the equation by eliminating the wrong schools and emphasizing the right schools for your child. We do this through our personalized consulting process that includes: in-depth interviews, record reviews, comprehensive appraisal, a best-fit recommendation and a followup Action Plan. We gently guide the student while helping the family navigate the deep waters of higher education. We believe that we offer a robust option for those families who desire an advisor to help them plan the best future for their children.
