Additionally, this conversation starter provides sweet, sour, and savory flavors and is a nutrition powerhouse. Packed with the health benefits of antioxidants, pre and probiotics to help counter the post holiday blues. Serves 4-6. Ingredients: • 2 shallots, sliced • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 1 head of red cabbage, finely shredded • 2 apple, peeled and diced • 2 cup kombucha • 1/4 red wine vinegar • 2 tablespoons sugar • 2 tablespoons raspberry preserves • 1 cinnamon stick • 1/4 teaspoon cloves • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger • Salt and pepper to taste 1. Sauté the shallots in olive oil until soft 2. Add cabbage, apple, kombucha, vinegar, sugar, preserves, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger to the pot and bring to boil. Reduces to simmer. 3. Simmer for 40 - 50 minutes until the cabbage is tender. 4. Remove cinnamon stick and season with salt and pepper to taste. Recipe serves well warm or cold and will stay good for five days.
