being that means understanding and accepting the entire range of human
emotions and living well through the ups and downs of life." This is a trait

can find the good in a bad situation. Break situations down into smaller moments
that are less overwhelming. For example, if attending a holiday dinner invokes dread,
think of the event as the opportunity to enjoy good food and see the people there whom
you miss. Make a plan of talking with someone you know well and another whom you don't while
at the party. The goal is to make your bad feelings less overpowering and therefore, you will feel less
stressed. Remember, it takes practice, so be kind to yourself always. The January 2020 issue of
