The Delaware Valley Bead Society (DVBS) is a diverse group of beaders, wire workers, metal workers and fiber artists. Don't miss our Holiday Jewelry Sale on Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Clinton Community Center on Halstead Street, next to the NC Branch Library. DVBS welcomes artists from beginner to advanced, and provides guest speakers, demonstrations and workshops to inform members about techniques and resources. DVBS activities include exhibits in the Hunterdon County Library System, community outreach beading programs for kids, semi-annual jewelry sales, group shows at area craft festivals and day trips to beading sources. DVBS meets on the third Tuesday of the month (except December) at 7:00 pm at the Hunterdon County Senior Center at 4 Gauntt Place in Flemington, NJ. The North Hunterdon Wrestling Club is open to kindergarten through eighth grade students within the North Hunterdon High School sending district. NHWC is a boys and girls club offering age- appropriate wrestling instruction and activities. The objective of the club is to provide youth with the opportunity to learn important life values, including discipline, dedication, goal-setting, team play and personal sacrifice through the sport of wrestling – to develop youth competitors into talented and respectful high school student-athletes who will be instrumental in making the North Hunterdon High School wrestling team #1 in the state of New Jersey. In 2018, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJISAA) accepted a proposal to offer girls wrestling as a stand alone varsity sport complete with its own region and state tournaments beginning in the 2018-2019 season. North Hunterdon High School wants to be the leader in high school girls wrestling…. so, register those K-8 girls now to get them ready for high school!
