The North Hunterdon Thrift Shop of Hampton can help you get in the Christmas Spirit and deck the halls! Our Christmas Room is now open and filled with merry and bright, high-quality decor, lights, clothing, gift wrap and more at amazingly low prices! Located at 51 County Rd. 635 (Charlestown Rd.), Hampton, west of Clinton, the non-profit shop is in the former North Hunterdon United Methodist Church building. The Christmas Sale includes such items as a string of lights for $3, garlands for $2 each, ornaments at $1 each, Christmas stockings for $2 each and a box of Christmas cards for $5. The shop is run by Clinton United Methodist Church and all proceeds support the church's mission. Donations of Christmas items, and fall and winter clothing and accessories are being accepted, including especially winter coats. Shoes for all seasons are accepted, because some can be donated to Soles4Souls, an international shoe mission organized in this area by Cokesbury United Methodist Church. The thrift shop has donated about 700 pairs of shoes in its six months of participation. All donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off during the shop's regular hours, which are Monday, 8:30 am to noon, Wednesday, 8:30 am to noon and 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
