Community service plays an important role in the Girl Scout experience. Since there are many different ways to provide service and so many worthy organizations, Leaders learn what interests their girls and then determine where they can be most helpful in that area. In Hunterdon County, troops from Service Unit 81 have worked with local food pantries, pet shelters, senior centers and more. Often times the experience is so positive that the girls ask to return year after year. To learn about becoming a Girl Scout or what's involved with being a Leader, email us at gshnjserviceunit81@gmail.com. We are always looking for new members and parent volunteers and would be glad to answer questions about this rewarding experience.
