Meet Eleanor Roosevelt as portrayed by Linda Kenyon. Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was an American political figure, diplomat and activist. She served as the First Lady of the United States from March 4, 1933 to April 12, 1945 during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms in office, making her the longest serving First Lady of the United States. Come and enjoy lunch with this larger than life personality as portrayed by Linda Kenyon. Linda Kenyon is a television, stage and film actress. She has performed at venues including the Venus Theatre, Maryland Renaissance Festival and Washington Stage Guild, among others. The Hunterdon County YMCA invites the community to participate in our annual fall event, the Monster Mash Family Mud Run on Sunday, October 20. Get muddy climbing through different obstacles on the property of YMCA Camp Carr, located at 1 Camp Buck Road in Annandale. Participants are invited to come in costume (no masks please), and are welcome to stay for complimentary seasonal snacks. At the Family Mud Run, families become teams and obstacles are conquered. "The Y Family Mud Run is a great event! Fall is the perfect time to get outside and be active. This event provides muddy fun for everyone," said Teri Saccal, Director of Healthy Living at the Y. "People have had a great time each year and we expect this year to be even better. Each year we make changes to the obstacles to keep the course interesting and the day fun." The 1.5 mile obstacle course challenge is suitable for the whole family. The event is open to the community and Y membership is not required. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult and the course is not suitable for strollers. Registration is available online at www.hcymca.org/mud-run. Registration fees are Adult/Teen (ages 12+): $15 for Members and $20 for Non-Members; Youth (ages 2-11): $10 for Members and $15 for Non- Members. Event t-shirts are available for purchase at registration and must be ordered by October 11. All fees are non-refundable. The first wave will begin at 10:00 am. Every wave after that will be in staggered intervals. Start times will be posted on the Hunterdon County YMCA website, www.hcymca.org/mud-run one week prior to the event and participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their wave to allow time to check in. The Monster Mash Family Mud Run has become a fall tradition for many local families. It's a great way for families to experience the obstacle course craze together in a fun environment.
