KidzArt Programs (Grades K-4) S h o r i n R y u K a r at e Ages 4 to adult. Karate was created in Okinawa as a means of self-defense without weapons. Over the years, it has been systemized and developed for training both mind and body. A mastery of karate does not depend as much on one's physical condition as it does on one's practice and desire. Our style of karate emphasizes speed and movement rather than brute force. Classes are taught by Sensei Steve Will, a fifth degree black belt in Matsubayashi Ryu Karate-Do, who is in his sixteenth year teaching for Clinton Township. Go to www.clintontwprec.com or call Sensei Will at 908-735-5999, ext. 4 for availability and information. All karate classes held in Clinton Township schools during the school year and at North Hunterdon High School over the summer.
