A 2013 Blue Ribbon School of Academic Excellence, Immaculate Conception School serves children 2 years old through eighth grade and is the only Catholic School in Hunterdon County. For more information or to take a tour, please contact the school office at: 908.735.6334 or visit the school website at: www.ICSAnnandale.org. t h s h o l d s F u r n i t u r e t a G s a l e F r i d a y a n d s a t u r d a y , J u l y 2 6 a n d 2 7 The Tewksbury Historical Society will hold a Furniture Tag Sale on Friday, July 26 between 1:00 - 5:00 pm, and on Saturday, July 27, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Oldwick Carriage House, 5 James Street in Oldwick, 08858. Among the items for sale are a glass top wrought iron table with four matching chairs, a fruitwood double bed headboard and frame, an office desk, a country kitchen table, a cedar chest, an old trunk suitable as a coffee table, an 1800's copper-lined dry sink, a round maple table with three leaves great for a vacation house, several chairs, lamps and much more! Also included will be some small household items. The Tewksbury Historical Society is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation and was organized for the purpose of furthering research into and the preservation and dissemination of the history of the Township of Tewksbury. It requests donations of documents, records and small artifacts related to Tewksbury's History. Membership is open to anyone interested in the Township's history. Annual membership is $15 for an individual or $ 25 for a family. Three regular meetings with programs are held per year on the 3rd Sunday in January, March, and May plus a Covered Dish Supper in November. A quarterly Newsletter with advance program and event notices is sent to each member. Membership information can be found at www. TewksburyHistory.net. The Society also sponsors an Annual Flea Market on Labor Day Weekend, a Juried Art Show in October, an Annual Antique Show the first weekend in December and participates in the Oldwick Town Sale in the spring. Anyone interested in volunteering for the events may call THS Headquarters at: 908.832.6734. t h s s e e k s s a l e a B l e d o n a t i o n s F o r 2 5 t h a n n u a l F l e a m a r k e t , a u G u s t 3 1 On Aug. 3 and 10 THS will accept items for its August 31 Flea Market The Tewksbury Historical Society holds its 25th Flea Market Saturday, August 31, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Johnson Family/Cedar Lane Farm field on County Route 517, north of Oldwick one half mile north of Homestead Road. The rain date is Sunday, September 1, subject to field conditions. THS will accept items for the sale at the Oldwick Carriage House, 5 James St. in Oldwick, only on two Saturdays, August 3 and 10, 9 AM to 12 Noon, rain or shine. Items will not be accepted at the field. No furniture, books, records, electronics older than 2 years, children's items/toys or clothing will be accepted. Society members will receive small, clean items in working and usable condition (china, dishes, baskets, linens, antiques, garden items, etc.) All contributions are tax-deductible as the law allows The Flea Market features 114 vendors selling a variety of wares including antiques, vintage items, fresh baked goods, etc. Breakfast and lunch will be available during the day. An entrance fee is not charged, however, THS requests a suggested donation of $2 or more per car upon departure. Those wishing to "shop" early may do so beginning at 7:00 am, paying a $10 fee. Proceeds from the event help support the Society's on-going programs and go toward the maintenance of its buildings.
