The Second Biennial Historic House and Garden Tour, co-sponsored
by the Tewksbury Historical Society and the Garden Club of Hunterdon Hills,
takes place on Saturday, June 8, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, in Tewksbury Township,
rain or shine.
The first floor of four interesting houses and the spacious property of
seven glorious gardens will be open for inspection. The houses include a stone
house with an 18th century spring house, a clapboard house with its out buildings
of the early 19th century, a farm house originating in the 18th century which has
undergone several expansions and renovations in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries
and a stately 19th century home whose improvements have created a spectacular
21st century estate. The gardens are of varied, beautiful design with unusual flora,
stunning natural surroundings and a magnificent vista.
Advance tickets are $40 until June 7 and $50 on the day of the Tour. Tickets

All tickets, including those purchased in advance, and locator maps are to
be picked up the day of the Tour from 9:30 am-1:00 pm at Tewksbury Historical

Winnewald Day Camp will be offering a Water
Safety Instructors course and a Red Cross Life
Guard course June 15, 16, 22, 23 and June 17-21,

information. A part-time maintenance position is also
available. Ideal for a retiree or college student!
Winnewald, in the heart of Clinton Township, is
Hunterdon's only centrally located private day camp.
Annual approval by the Hunterdon County and New
Jersey Departments of Health is received. Winnewald
is located on 30 acres close to Routes 31 and 629. A
running stream, well-maintained grounds, mature
trees, heated swimming pools, basketball courts,
tennis court, archery range and athletic fields make
it a desirable place for children to spend the summer.
Our staff, mainly certified teachers and college
students, is selected to give your child the special
attention and supervision necessary to promote
a positive, safe and enjoyable camp experience.
Staff training in safety and working with children is
ongoing. Camper to staff ratio is approximately 7/1.
