A perfect snack in minutes that is a unique addition to the usual rotation
and the kids will love it too. Super simple recipe and a perfect use for ripe
bananas: Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Hummus (in about 5 minutes)!
Here's the recipe...
• 2 cups chickpeas (or 1 can)
• 2 ripe bananas
• 1.5 Tbsp coconut oil
• 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp ground vanilla (or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract)
• Couple turns of Himalayan Salt
• 1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut butter)
• 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
Put everything (except the chocolate chips) into your high speed mixer
or food processor. Blend for about 5 minutes until smooth and then mix in
chocolate chips. And that is it! This dessert hummus would be delicious with
apple slices, graham crackers, toast, pretzels, etc. or right off the spoon!
