(Mr. Woyce was originally scheduled to speak at the January meeting which was cancelled due to inclement weather.) The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served. Woyce's lecture will trace the history of New Jersey through its two dozen State Parks. Old names such as Wawayanda and Hopatcong reflect the state's original "peoples", the Lenni Lenape Indians. Its battlefields call to mind New Jersey's position as the "Crossroads of America's Revolution". Abandoned forages recall the state's first great industry, while the beginnings of our transportation network ran along the paths of the Morris and Delaware & Raritan Canals. The slide show includes original photography of many of the parks, plus vintage maps and images of historic people, places, and events. Woyce grew up in East Rutherford, one of 15 siblings. He currently resides in Lyndhurst with his wife. t h s O l d W i C K t a g s a l e d a t e s The Tewksbury Historical Society is holding a Tag Sale on two days this month.
