And the Mary Poppins, Jr. drama production at CTMS was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! April will bring warmer temperatures, spring sports and many activities for our students. April is National Autism Awareness Month! The United States recognizes April as a special opportunity to educate the public about autism. During the month of April at PMG we will be celebrating National Autism Awareness Month, and we invite students and staff to wear BLUE each Wednesday in April. This celebration shines a bright light on autism and helps to increase and develop knowledge of autism and share information regarding the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention. Additionally, we celebrate the unique talents and skills of persons with autism! At Patrick McGaheran School, we also celebrate our teachers who are dedicated to supporting our programs for individuals with autism. A special thank you to our special educators, Mrs. Kelli Portland and Ms. Elise Pozensky-Cohen and the many teacher assistants who support in the classroom every day. Please join Patrick McGaheran School in our effort to inspire compassion, empowerment and hope by recognizing National Autism Awareness Month. Science! Thank you, PTA! In March, PMG students had the opportunity to learn more about science in a fun and exciting way through assemblies funded by the Clinton Township PTA. Special visitors from The Franklin Institute presented the Traveling Science Show on the topic of "Motions and Machines." Starlab! We are excited to have had Starlab at Patrick McGaheran School last month! The Starlab is a portable planetarium that is brought to PMG to provide our students with the opportunity to view the constellations. The Starlab dome is inflated and constellations are projected onto the ceiling of the dome using a special projector. A special thank you to PMG teachers, Mrs. Jaw and Mrs. Sidbury, who coordinated and presented this opportunity to our students. It was so exciting to learn more about the stars from the comfort of the classroom!
