January 13, 2:00 to 4:00 pm: Visit HAM for the opening reception of three new exhibitions: Ruth Marshall: Knitting the Endangered, Kay Kenny: A Poetic Tribute to the Rural Night, and Catherine Suttle: Spaces and Structures. Young Artists Showcase: An exhibition featuring the talents of local students in the Hunterdon County Area. January 19 – Opening reception for students from Frances A. DesMares School, Copper Hill School and Barley Sheaf School. Classes and Workshops Classes for adults, teens and children begin January 7. Classes for adults include: "Intro to Watercolors: Methods and Materials", "Tuesday Night Drawing & Painting", "Drawing and Painting Animals & Landscapes", and "Paint the Modern Landscape". The General Meeting begins at 9:30am and our speaker will present at 11:00 am. The meeting speaker will be Eric Nelsen, from Palisades Interstate Park in NJ. Eric oversees the park's historic Kearney House, where he's helped to develop a unique "living history" program based on the house's role as a nineteenth- century Hudson River tavern and homestead.
